The DXS series of compressors is a semi-hermetic, oil-filled, double-rotary screw compressor.

The York DXS compressor is an industrial screw compressor designed for refrigeration and air conditioning applications with refrigerants R22 or R407C. its cooling capacity varies with rotor diameter.

The DXS compressor utilizes a patented new rotor profile that ensures high performance under all operating conditions. The barrier-free hermetic motor is mounted directly on the positive rotor shaft. This is a compact and reliable construction.

The DXS compressor utilizes continuous capacity control. The compressor starts in the minimum position; the continuous function, microprocessor-controlled, three-way proportional capacity control valve provides regulated output pressure independent of valve input pressure, stable, smooth, and precise matching of compressor capacity to cooling load with 20% of chiller capacity. When the unit stops, the capacity control spring will reset to the minimum load position, ensuring that the compressor motor starts with minimum load.
